Electronic Process Review


This section will show you the basics of working with an electronic proposal. You must have a login/password; see "Acquiring a Login ID" for details. Your e-mail program must also be configured to view HTML; see Configuring e-mail to view HTML in the FAQ section for details.

  1. Open the email labeled “Proposal For Your Review and Approval.”
  2. Click the Reviewer Dashboard link. An internet browser window will then open showing the On-line Review Dashboard.
Each tab on the Dashboard navigational bar on the left has information on an aspect of the proposal. The On-line Review Dashboard tab is open by default and it explains what each tab does. The What’s Next? tab explains briefly what reviewing an electronic proposal involves.

  1. Click the Item(s) to Review tab
  2. Click the  icon to display the proposal that you wish to review
  3. Login with your InfoEd username and password. Figure 4 below shows the login screen.

The electronic proposal contains the same information that you normally see in paper form. It also has its own navigation bar separate from the Dashboard bar. Each tab in the proposal’s navigation bar has information on an aspect of the proposal, but Finalize has the information assembled in the format with which you are most familiar.

 

  1. Click the Finalize tab in the proposal navigation bar on the left side. This is the new navigation bar that opened when the proposal opened; all of the tabs on the proposal bar begin with a red checkmark.
  2. In the middle of the screen, in a scroll pane of its own, are the uploaded documents, Routing Sheet, CPS Budget, and Proposal. Scroll the pane to the right to see the  icon.
  3. Click the  icon to open a window showing that document.

  1. Once all documents have been reviewed, click the box under done in the Item(s) to Review tab on the Dashboard navigation bar to show that you have reviewed the proposal. A green checkmark will appear when it is clicked. Click it again to remove the checkmark if you checked by mistake.

  1. Click the flashing icon in the top left corner to save this change. If the file is not saved, the proposal will still display as not reviewed.
  2. Add comments by clicking the Add Comments tab in the Dashboard navigation bar. Save comments by clicking the icon.
  3. Click the My Decision tab on the Dashboard navigation bar to register your decision on the proposal from the drop down menu.
  4. Choose from: Approved, Disapproved, and Approved Pending Changes. There is also a blank choice in case you need to look at the proposal again before deciding. Below Figure 7 shows the decision box.

  1. When you choose a decision other than the blank one, a login and password field will appear. Enter your InfoEd login information to sign your decision.
Entering your InfoEd login information at this step functions as your signature of approval for the decision you entered after having reviewed the electronic proposal. It is legally binding. Be certain of your decision before saving it. Also make sure to keep your login/password secure since they are your signature in InfoEd.
  1. Click the icon to save your decision. Once saved, the electronic proposal will be routed to the next person on the list.
  2. Click the icon to exit the system, or click Item(s) to Review if you have other electronic proposals to review.
