Using
SPIN
| This
section will show you how to use InfoEd’s SPIN feature
to manually search for funding. You can use SPIN to search without
ever logging in, but you must have a login ID to use the rest
of our e-RAMP system. Please refer to Acquiring
a Login ID for details on acquiring a login ID.

- Login
to InfoEd at http://rf-infoed1.tamu.edu
- Once
logged in, click on Find Funding on the left navigation
bar.
- There
are two options, SPIN and SMARTS. Select SPIN.
A new window will open, containing the search engine and its options.
SPIN works like other search engines that you may have used.
- Enter
your search term(s) and use the options to narrow/widen your search.

Like
the results for most other search engines, clicking on an item’s
title will lead to a page dedicated to that project that contains
more information about it. Figure 1 shows a sample search
using the word “cattle.” |
