New President & CEO elected for the Research Foundation

At a meeting held on June 6, 2008, the Board of Trustees of the Texas A&M Research Foundation elected Mr. Leo J. Paterra as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Research Foundation.

Mr. Paterra first joined the Research Foundation in February 2005 as Vice President and Treasurer. He was later elected as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Paterra has been serving as the Interim President and Chief Executive Officer since September 2007. Prior to joining the Research Foundation, Mr. Paterra had over 25 years of combined experience working in federal and state government and private industry. He is also a certified public accountant.

The Texas A&M Research Foundation is a Texas non-profit corporation affiliated with The Texas A&M University System. The Research Foundation provides to various System Member institutions and agencies research administration services relating to research projects sponsored by federal and state agencies; for-profit and non-profit organizations; and international entities.
